Skills and experience to help

At Clear-Think, we're all about simplifying the complex and delivering strategic and task based consulting services tailored specifically for the Medical Device industry, with a focus on Sales & Marketing and its interconnected business pieces.

With three decades of experience at the VP and Business Leader level, and 42 years overall, there is every reason to believe I can help.

In addition I have been fortunate to spend 25 years guiding MBA students in subjects such as Strategy, Leadership & Team Building, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Product Management/New Product Development.

My education pairs with the goal of helping and includes a BS in Biology, an MBA with a Marketing concentration and a Doctorate in Management Systems.

Marketing & sales review

A possible first step is a review of your current sales & marketing system. Depending on the size of your organization, how many markets and products. This might be something that just takes a couple of days, to potentially a week or more. We have built a structure for this analysis - you determine how deep you want to go.

Fractional VP (Marketing & Sales)

For some organizations, this approach works well. They desire the broad range of skills that a proven leader brings, but the cost and commitment associated with a senior person might be a stretch.

However, it's possible to gain these skills and insights with a smaller overall commitment through a part-time engagement.

Mentoring

Mentoring can be beneficial depending on your team and their experience. It can take various forms, like helping to establish efficient systems, leading projects, developing team members, and enhancing skills for advancement. These skills might be "corporate" in nature, ranging from integrating well with the team to practical abilities like planning and utilizing software tools.

Team Development

Developing teams that complete their work on time, with less struggle and more speed is an area for some large gains. These can be new product development teams, product marketing teams - really any team.

Strategy

There's only one way to overcome the feeling that things aren't quite coming together, or that you're always just a bit behind. You can feel this way even when things are going well. Certainly, you're likely to feel it more when they aren't.

Strategy is the answer - it doesn't need to take weeks or months, but without it, there's no way to run your business, rather than letting your business run you.

Projects

You may have a task that needs doing, but those on the team may be occupied, it may need to be completed outside your internal channels, or it may require skills currently unavailable within your organization.
